Description
Supported Sensors That Optimize Grain Storage
1. In-Bin Grain Cables (Temp & Moisture):
Monitor core grain conditions and enable automated drying and hydration routines based on accurate readings. These cables also support grain bin moisture monitoring, helping to maintain consistent quality throughout storage.2. Headspace CO₂ & Laser Level Sensor:
- CO₂ Alerts: Identify early spoilage concerns as much as 10 days before traditional readings show changes.
- Laser Inventory: Measures grain levels with 1 cm accuracy for dependable planning, blending, and sales scheduling.
3. Ambient Sensor (Temp & RH):
Tracks outdoor conditions and provides the environmental data needed to calculate drying and hydration windows. Automation modules utilize this information to operate equipment at the optimal times, rather than relying on continuous operation.4. Plenum Sensor (Temp, RH & Static Pressure):
Placed between the fan and bin, this sensor supports:- Advanced charts such as Drying vs Hydrating, Moisture Trends, and Water Content
- Supplemental heat management during cool weather
- Fan performance analysis through real airflow calculations, including CFM and CFM per bushel
Supported Control Modules for Automated Operation
1. Heater Plus Module
Controls construction heaters to extend drying seasons. Requires the Plenum Sensor and Adapter Plate for accurate and stable operation.2. Exhaust Plus Module
Activates exhaust fans to reduce headspace humidity, which is especially valuable for oilseeds. Works with the Grain Cable Top Node or the Headspace CO2, Temperature, and RH sensor.3. Aeration Plus Module
Automates fans for natural air drying, cool-down, and hydration. The Ambient Sensor is required for proper operation, while the Plenum Sensor is recommended for added accuracy and airflow validation.Smart Connectivity and Remote Access
Bindapt+ Automate connects through either Wi-Fi or cellular service, giving you access to your full bin yard from anywhere. You can review conditions, monitor airflow activity, and receive alerts for changes in CO2 levels, temperature fluctuations, equipment issues, or concerns about airflow.
Flexible Installation and Full Compatibility
The grain bin temperature monitoring system can be self-installed and works with any size or brand of grain bin. It accepts a wide range of sensors, enabling you to create the ideal setup for your specific operation.
Integrated Visual Farm Dashboard
All sensor readings and automation actions are displayed within the Visual Farm dashboard. The platform gives you clear visibility of every bin, with easy-to-read charts, trends, and alerts that simplify day-to-day management across your operation.
